Cleaning services in Provo follow the BYU calendar more than anywhere else we work. Twice a year, mainly in late April and again in August, students move out and in by the thousands, and landlords often have only a few days to get units ready. The rest of the year we clean Provo’s family homes, many of them older houses with real character, about 25–35 minutes from our Alpine home base.

Brigham Young University has more than 30,000 students, and many of them live in apartments and rental houses near campus, including the older streets of the Joaquin neighborhood. When a semester ends, units turn over in waves. Students need the apartment ready for checkout, and landlords need it ready for the next tenant.

Our move-out cleaning covers what checkout lists usually ask for: inside the fridge, oven, cabinets and drawers, scrubbed bathrooms, wiped baseboards and clean floors. Shared apartments often have one kitchen and several roommates, so the kitchen usually takes the longest. If roommates leave on different days, tell us at the estimate so we can plan the visit for when the unit is empty.

Older Provo homes need a slower hand

Provo was founded in 1849, and parts of the city near downtown and around campus have homes that are many decades old. Older homes have their own needs: wood trim and window frames that collect dust, older tile and grout, and bathrooms where years of hard water have left mineral rings.

We use eco-friendly products, try anything we are unsure of in a hidden spot first, and ask about delicate surfaces at the in-person estimate. A deep cleaning is often the right first step. If you are getting ready to sell, a pre-listing cleaning before photos helps an older home show its best side.

Landlords and property managers

Provo landlords range from owners of a single rental house or basement apartment to larger complexes with leasing offices. We clean between tenants on the dates you set, and we can come on a regular schedule to keep leasing offices, hallways and laundry rooms clean.

For turnovers, send us your checklist and the move-out and move-in dates as early as you can. Late April and August are busy for everyone, and we schedule within our hours, Monday through Saturday, 8am to 6pm.

01Do you offer cleaning services in Provo during BYU move-out weeks?

Yes. Late April and August are the busiest weeks for student moves, so book as early as you can. We work Monday through Saturday, 8am to 6pm, and we do not do same-day cleanings.

02Will my apartment pass the landlord’s checkout?

We cannot speak for your landlord, but we clean to the checklist you give us. Send the checkout list before the estimate and we will go through it item by item. If something on it is not right, tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and re-clean it free.

03Can several roommates share one move-out cleaning?

Yes. How you divide the cost is up to you, and it helps to have one person as the contact for scheduling. We take cash, card, check, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal and Apple Pay. Make sure everyone is out of the unit on cleaning day.

04Do you clean older homes near downtown Provo?

Yes. We take extra care with wood trim, older tile and fixtures. At the free in-person estimate, point out anything delicate so we can plan the right products.
